About these places. The route follows the traditional Ramayana trail — the sites long tied to each episode, with their old names and the towns that stand there now. Rama's day-by-day position is a playful reading of the Dussehra-to-Diwali window, not a claim from the text.

Disclaimers

  • This project is created purely for entertainment and educational interest. It is not a religious, historical, or scholarly authority.
  • It is based on the mythological and devotional framing of the Ramayana and takes artistic and creative liberties in its maps, timelines, figures, and storytelling.
  • Rama's "day-by-day" location between Dussehra and Diwali is an imaginative interpretation, not a claim found in any scripture. Place identifications follow popular tradition and are not archaeologically or historically verified.
  • The figures of Rama shown here are original, stylized AI-generated artwork. They are not depictions of any real person, nor of any specific actor, artwork, or copyrighted character.
  • This work is made with respect and reverence, and is not intended to offend, diminish, or tread upon anyone's beliefs, faith, or sentiments. Its only aim is to spark curiosity and connection with the story of Lord Rama's journey home among the current generation.
  • If any element is found inaccurate or inappropriate, it is unintentional. Interpretations of the Ramayana vary widely across regions and traditions, and this is simply one creative telling.

Light a lamp for someone

Rama's homecoming began an age of care for everyone. This Diwali, the brightest lamp is the one you light in another life.

Dhanteras · Nov 6
Gift dhan — not just gold

On Dhanteras we welcome dhan (wealth) into our homes with gold and silver. This year, let a little of that wealth flow to a home that has none. Gold sits locked in a cupboard; dhan given in another's name becomes a living Lakshmi — a child taught, an elder cared for, a young life set on its feet. The same budget you'd spend on a coin can change a life.

Give to large, trusted, audited charities that work in India's poorest and most remote areas — the small towns, villages and districts, not the rich cities. For children with disabilities, for forgotten elders, for financial self-reliance, for teaching, and for young people with no work. A small gift, given with heart, travels far.

✉ Let the charity know you came via this tribute

When you donate, paste this note into the charity's “message”, “comment” or “dedication” box. That's how the gift gets linked to Rama's Path Home — there's no automatic tracking, so including it is up to you.
